Program Related Investments
The Springcreek Foundation's Program Related Investments are primarily focused on providing capital to develop more sustainable agricultural and food systems. We make direct loans to non-profit and for-profit organizations, and invest in pooled funds that leverage the resources of many investors to provide capital to build the infrastructure needed to transform the way food is grown, distributed and marketed in the United States. We believe these investments will have a profound impact on environmental and public health, economic prosperity, and social and economic equity.

With our 2011 monograph, Promoting Sustainable Food Systems Through Impact Investing, we offered a conceptual framework for analyzing opportunities for investing in sustainable food systems through the lens of specific levers of change. This lens can be applied to other industries with the potential for social benefit that historically have not had access to capital.
