Susan R. Clark — Treasurer & Director

Susan has been the Executive Director of the Columbia Foundation since 1979 and previously served as the Executive Director of the Mortimer Fleishhacker Foundation. She has been a consultant to a number of start-up foundations and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arkay Foundation. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Grantmakers, which she also chaired, and the Council on Foundations where she founded and chaired its International Committee. She is a former member of the California Association of Nonprofits Policy Council.

Susan is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and earned a Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Occidental College, served in the Peace Corps in Venezuela, worked in early childhood education and higher education, and was a Coro Foundation Fellow in Public Affairs.
