About the Foundation
The Springcreek Foundation is a private foundation founded in 1994 by the Corning and Long families to continue and expand their tradition of philanthropy and impact investment.

For the past three years, under the leadership of President Maud Alison Long, The Springcreek Foundation has contributed significantly to the field of impact investing, specifically in support of sustainable food and agriculture. Our June 2011 monograph, Promoting Sustainable Food Systems Through Impact Investing, offers a conceptual framework for analyzing investment opportunities in sustainable food systems. Critical to this framework, and the lens through which investment opportunities are viewed, are “levers of change” that were developed and agreed upon by food system stakeholders at each point along the supply chain. This paper will continue to be available on the Foundation’s website.
